Dear Elena,

Thank you for your latest letter. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. As I understand, you’re interested in studying abroad during your summer vacation. Let me tell you that this is a great idea and I’m glad you thought about my college.

Studying abroad is a fascinating experience. I can understand you may be a little bit worried since this will be your first time out of your country for so long, but trust me, there’s really nothing to be worried about.

If you come to this college, you’ll meet dozens of people from all over the world. Everybody is really friendly and it is incredibly easy to make good friends. Loneliness is a feeling you’ll never know. There’s always something to do in the city or in the college. Moreover, a school committee organizes activities everyday. That’s where I met most of my friends.

That brings me to free time. In my opinion, this summer school is really interesting because schedules are made for students to have free time. For example, I have class only in the mornings which leaves me plenty of time in the afternoons to visit places or meet with my friends. I really don’t feel like I have to sacrifice my vacation going to school.

As for you last concern, I know that this school is quite expensive, but it is really worth it. It’s a unique opportunity to improve your English, meet people from all over the world and discover other cultures. In addition, the teachers are great. They’re actually the same teachers as those who teach during the rest of the year. You should consider this experience as an investment in your future. As you may know, such an experience increases your chances of being accepted in a good university.

I hope this will help you make a decision. I’m looking forward to seeing you in class this summer and introducing you to all of my friends.
